Anything Goes

Anthony Grunwell directed and was also Musical director for this popular musical. Those responsible for the construction of the set deserve a pat on the back, and the stage crew's scene-shifting was really efficient.  The sound and lighting effects were very pleasing, and although more attention could have been paid to accessories, on the whole the costumes looked reasonably authentic.  Melissa Haigh made an appealing Hope with Jo Wilson proved to be a vivacious Bonnie and the four young "angels" were really delightful.  The rest of the cast and chorus members moved and sang well.

The orchestra maintained excellent accompaniment throughout but occasionally the level of sound was a little too great.  An enjoyable production.
