Jeff and I thoroughly enjoyed "Dick Whittington" last week.  Rob's script was very pleasing and it was fairly obvious from the audiences reactions that they agreed with our opinion.

Full marks to all the cast.  Its good to see so many youngsters taking part, and I was extremely impressed with the way James coped with being the Dame at such short notice.  Sue's choreography was lively and interesting, and plenty of rehearsal time had been devoted to the dance routines and chorus movement.

The set was delightful; a real credit to those responsible for it and I thought the lighting and special effects added to the total impact.  The costumes were very colourful and eye-catching.

Was I the only person who thought King Rat bore a strking resemblance to Anne Robinson?  He played the part very well, with excellent back-up from Trasher, Basher and Nasher.  The tiny ratlings were lovely - and so were the fairies - especially Bowbells and Jingle Bells.
