| Five Bites of the Cherry Review by NODA Representative Anne Key Huckerby, Spring 2007 A
total of eighteen actors took part in the five short productions.
These were Robert King's amusing Red Spy at Night; the comical A
Classic Performance by local playwright Philip Bosworthy; Split Ends, a
humourous play by Frank Vickery; Brian Burton's riveting Drink to Me
Only and the hilarious melodrama, The Chinese Pendant, by Harry Austin.
All of these were extremely entertaining and without exception, the actors played their roles with confidence and conviction. John Wright's basic set was ideally designed and only needed minor adjustments to create the different backgrounds required. The lighting and sound effects were good and the costumes were fine. Very pleasing.
