Fiddler On The Roof

Russia - the year is 1905, and Jewish communities suffer under the persecution of a Tsarist regime. In the village of Anatevka, Tevye, the milkman, (made famous by Topol), struggles to bring up his five daughters whilst keeping his faith in God intact.

But things are changing, with his daughters no longer accepting his control of their lives, and revolution is in the air. These are dangerous times...

Yet, there is time enough for love and laughter, as each of his girls defy tradition to choose their own destinies.

"Fiddler on the Roof", one of the most successful musicals of all time, comes to the South Holland Centre. With world famous songs like "Tradition", "Sunrise, Sunset" and "If I Were A Rich Man", we recreate the pain and joy of a community struggling against the Russian authorities, whilst keeping true to their Jewish faith.

To Be Performed 22nd - 26th May 2012 at the South Holland Centre
