About us
Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) is one of the UK’s oldest and most vibrant amateur theatre groups, proudly serving the local community since 1870. As a registered charity (no. 700562), we are committed to enriching the cultural life of Spalding and the wider South Lincolnshire area through high-quality, community-focused theatrical productions.
Over the years, SADOS has built a reputation for staging an exciting and diverse mix of performances — from classic operettas and dramatic plays to modern musicals, pantomimes, and musical revues. Whether it’s a light-hearted comedy or a powerful drama, our productions aim to entertain, inspire, and bring people together.
At the heart of SADOS is a warm, inclusive community of volunteers, performers, musicians, directors, and backstage crew - all united by a passion for live performance. We welcome members of all backgrounds and experience levels, whether you're a seasoned stage veteran or just discovering a love for the arts. There’s a place for everyone at SADOS, on stage or behind the scenes.
